The boy-who-lived may have completed his journey - but the teen spy is here to stay!

Shop assistants in Eason's bookstores in Ireland celebrated the launch of the new Harry Potter book in true Alex Rider style.

They wore teaser T-shirts emblazoned with the words "Harry's Gone... Alex lives on" to reassure fans that whilst one hero has moved on, another will return.

Teen spy Alex Rider?s eagerly-awaited seventh mission, Snakehead, hits the shelves on 31 October 2007.

Ark Angel, the sixth book in the series, was published in 2006 and won a British Book Award.

Talking of Snakehead, author Anthony Horowitz commented: "It's been two years since I wrote my last Alex Rider story. I hope you'll agree that it's been worth the wait."

He has vowed to fans that whilst Alex's latest mission may be the most dangerous yet, it will not be his last. The news that this hero's adventures will continue past book seven is sure to delight his many fans.
