Pilot:Dark skinned he wore faded jeans and loose, open-necked shirts. Long black hair, with deep brown eyes and thin scar running down side of face.

Carlo:Probably not his real name. Dark skinned, about thirty years old, with black curly hair. Unshaven. The man who calls himself Marc could be his younger brother. Speaks English, although it is not his native language.

Marc:Probably not his real name. Dark skinned, barely twenty-five. Carries a German-built 10mm Glock automatic.

Chinese guard at Wimbledon:Had a large red circle on his arm, just where the material of his short-sleeved shirt ends. Skin pale and pock-marked with lifeless eyes. He has a thick accent. Martial arts expert and member of the Chinese triad group Big Circle (see organization for more details).

The Salesman:Mexican and sells drugs, weapons, false identities, information, etc. Round-faced, with very black hair and small moustache. Immaculately dressed. Operates from his cruise liner called Mayfair Lady, moored at the Bayside Marketplace in Miami.

Juan:In his twenties, roughly shaven, and speaks no English. One of Sarov's guards assigned to watch over Alex on Skeleton Key when he is a prisoner in the Casa de Oro.
