Conrad is in the process of strangling Alex when Alex remembers what Sarov told him about Conrad having metal pins all over his body. A cargo magnet used to hoist the bombs across the harbour is almost above them while they are struggling. Alex suddenly lashes out, catching Conrad by surprise, and Conrad starts back, hands loosening. The magnet is now right above him and Conrad is plucked into air, attracted to the magnet. His back is broken.
