When at MI6's headquarters on Liverpool Street, Alex breaks into his uncle's office from Crawley's room next door by climbing out onto the window ledge and swinging from one window to another, using the flagpole directly between the two rooms. Fifteen storeys above a busy street, Alex misjudges his jump, and only saves himself by grabbing the Union Flag.

While at Sayle Enterprises, Alex inserts three hairs into his sports bag zip, trapping them in the teeth; when he returns to his room later, he can see that his belongings have been tampered with.
