Strawberry jam

Cornered by a Big Circle assassin in the basement below the All England Tennis Club, Alex grabs a canister of compressed gas. He uses a blast of gas to temporarily blind his enemy, and then knocks him out with the metal cylinder. The guard falls into an open refrigerator containing tons of strawberries; Alex shuts him inside and turns temperature down to below zero.

Surf's up

Alex is pursued by agents of the Big Circle, who manage to track him to Cornwall. While surfing the Cribber, Alex is menaced by an armed man on a jet ski, who tries to run him down. Alex twists round and projects himself off the top of the wave and into the air, at the same time crouching down and grabbing hold of the thruster. While Alex is in the air, the jet ski roars past him, and he lands behind it. Alex then launches himself off the board, onto the jet ski, and struggles with the driver.

Board meeting

Alex snatches a skateboard to race after the departing boat belonging to The Salesman, who is holding Tom Turner prisoner. The skateboard is a Flexdex downhill racer with ABEC5 racing bearings and kryptonic wheels. Alex propels himself along the jetty and up the loading ramp. The skateboard falls away in mid-air but Alex just manages to reach the stern rail of the boat and haul himself aboard.

Where there's smoke…

In order to create a diversion and rescue Tom Turner, Alex uses his shirt as a rag to set fire to a petrol can on the Mayfair Lady. Shortly afterwards the whole boat blows up as a result of the bomb planted by Conrad, but Alex is unfairly blamed for this by Turner and Troy.

Boot cramp

Alex tries to escape from General Sarov's estate in the boot of a car, planning to escape later by using Smithers' bubblegum to blow a hole in the lock. Unfortunately, his presence in the boot is detected; a poweful microphone device picks up the sound of his heartbeat, giving him away.

Fatal attraction

Alex is close to defeat in his final fight with Conrad's when he remembers just how much metal is contained in the assassin's rebuilt body. He manages to push Conrad backwards into the path of a huge electromagnet; Conrad is plucked into the air, smashing against the magnet, and his back is broken.
